If you want to hear more from Shad regarding AI art, here is his video explaining his points and research regarding it. Do note that It is very long and lasts for 1hr and 30 mins. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PszF9Upan8 If you want to hear a simplified explanation regarding how AI art actually works, as well as a short summary of some of its concerns, here is a video outlining that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVcsDDABEkM And here's the bonus video about the different views from both artists and computer specialists: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFBfrZ-N3G4 If you want to get somewhat technical, but still simplified regarding how it works, here's a video from Computerphile regarding the topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CIpzeNxIhU I usually take views from both sides of the spectrum before I form my opinion around it, so here are some of the arguments made, both for and against AI art. Do take some of their views with a grain of salt due to how divisive the topic is, not to mention the lack of sources/poor sourcing that both sides made just to push a point. I'll try to add in some videos with good arguments both for and against, as well as some bad takes, with more links to be added soon as edits: Marcus Brownlee's thoughts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gNauGdOkro Draftsman's constructive thoughts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lc-RX2AGGNA Jazza's thoughts, skipped from his video about playing with AI art: https://youtu.be/TOfEJyWNsZQ?t=1894 AItrepreneur's thoughts (Most prominent AI art informer in Youtube): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ias8qaUylQ8 SamDoesArt's thoughts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Viy3Cu3DLk AI Art - Where the line must be drawn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4Fzqvx1jxI AI & Industry Town Hall featuring US Copyright Office (With Karla Ortiz hosting it): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ias8qaUylQ8 Here are some takes from twitter, both for and against: (Will add more soon) (Remove the spaces and the initial slashes in the beginning) https://twitter.com/fractalcounty/status/1603823751287668741 https://twitter.com/wickedinsignia/status/1603221617156706305 Whatever you do, do not go to the video made by Steven Zapata Art, I swear, he just made me feel ashamed about any opinion regarding AI art in general. He will gaslight you for having any opinion regarding AI art, he will take the facts, and twist them into a vile representation of what he thinks AI art could become, then continuously shames you if you had an opinion that says otherwise. It's extremely manipulative and I just wonder why every artist wanted anyone to watch this. He did raise some good points, but it's just overshadowed by the constant shaming, deceiving, and gaslighting. If you do plan to watch it, do be careful. I have been doing some research regarding the topic myself, though slightly unfinished due to how fast information moves at the moment. Some of my thoughts regarding the matter are here, with sources of course: Notes Regarding the Anti-AI art GoFundMe: (Remove the spaces and the initial slashes in the beginning) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hmCCaf0r4Eol2nA0jY8zRtCbLnGD0TT2d4P8ZXcPKMA/edit?usp=sharing My thoughts regarding AI art as a whole: (Coming soon, will edit the link in.)
