im not exaggerating when i say botw has the most impressive sound direction of any game ive played besides bloodborne warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:07 PM ill just have to feel it out i suppose aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:07 PM its unreal how much effort has been put into it warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:07 PM yeah ive noticed aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:07 PM as well as the dynamic systems its a genuine technical milestone for open world games warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:08 PM everything about this game that toes the line between having to must have been scripted and being automatic is just kind of mindblowing theres sound design and then theres when i notice exactly when the game knows when to autosave but i cant pinpoint specific triggers aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:08 PM if you ever spend a day just idling somewhere with a good breadth of expanse and differing terrain youll see what i mean the wind alone lol warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:08 PM how did nintendo mkae this and also the switch aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:09 PM there are actual fully realized wind and weather systems running the expanse of the map and interacting with each other and the environment warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:09 PM having hulu on it makes me feel like i own a tablet aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:09 PM and they intermingle and affect the soundscape accurately like wind will whip or ebb according to the surrounding ruggedness and if youre in a crag it'll funnel and sound like that characteristic whistling you get in tunnels or near valleys warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:10 PM Also can i get more profile avatars somehow yea ive noticed blustered kong — 12/29/2017 3:10 PM you caqnt seriously, new avatars are chosen only a couple of times a year aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:11 PM and you can tell its not approximation or cheating in any discernable sense (obviously it is in reasonable terms but they obfuscate whatever they do perfectly) because just panning the camera and links point of reference and view will affect these systems and the soundscape and if youre in the middle of a wind system blowing through where you are you can play with it believably or go by whatever terrain and geography to see its effects change logically warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:12 PM i almost want to play a generic open world game to get a feel for how boring they must be in comparison lol good thing skyrims on switch aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:12 PM well this is real nerd-ass shit that doesnt impact the interactivity which is its own huge conversation but its an important component of the immersive quality the game's world hits on that other open world games dont blustered kong — 12/29/2017 3:13 PM you can do a lot worse than skyrim play something like ass creed for true boredom aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:13 PM like the water channels in the game are crazy fucking cool a bunch of thought has been put into the entire network and how it believably flows and stems and pools blustered kong — 12/29/2017 3:13 PM skyrim is at least an rpg so you can somewhat care about your character progression, something like assassin's creed is just ticking off boxes for the sake of it warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:14 PM this is p much exactly the kind of game design i want more of aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:14 PM the weather gets really impressive too its not just rain and not-rain, there a huge varieties in the kinds of storms you get and how they impact both you and the terrain, depending on where you are huge thunderstorms with heavy rain will actually form shallow pools in wide flat fields its so cool warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:15 PM not open world necessarily but just throwing you into an organic environment and letting you explore right off the bat and having most of it speak for itself aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:15 PM im not going to spoil anything mechanical or physical here im tiptoeing that but yea warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:15 PM its Chill, Intense, whatever u want it to be based on where you go blustered kong — 12/29/2017 3:16 PM what kinds of enemeis have you found so far dogboy aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:16 PM its really cool to me how much of a herculean effort has gone into creating a genuinely organic world in the traditional sense of the world without sacrificing its intrigue and servicing as a conduit for a game, and how the physical structure of everything never loses sight of this duality either warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:17 PM a Lot of bokoblins wolves ive ran into two giant rock golems and ran like hell blustered kong — 12/29/2017 3:17 PM what do you mean by rock golem aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:18 PM talus theres one on the plateau im sure he ran into which is a great crank its not a master mode thing warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:20 PM yeah that one and one somewhere else aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:20 PM theyre adorable tbh i love the doofy music the personality in the enemies is really good i recommend just idly watching some of them from a distance, especially camps warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:21 PM a long time ago in here i talked about a kind of game id really want to see made that had the kind of natural minimalist setting of sotc but with a broader world with a lot of creatures to hunt and shit and more but basically im just saying this is prob the closest thing to that ive played aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:23 PM really given your proclivities i recommend idling or moving laconically a lot in this game tbh or seeking out shit for the pure aesthetics of it like good vantage points for panoramics youre probably the only one besides me who's insane enough to actually give a fuck about that especially in a game where its not prescribed in the sense that you can do this literally anywhere and get serviced by the same appeal warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:24 PM thats already a thing im doing lol i see the highest point i can in the distance and get to it aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:24 PM the first time you climb a really high mountain and slow-pan it is like woah warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:24 PM then i glide as far as i can to a tower aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:24 PM especially if its at sunrise or sunset thats what i did my first time playing i got to hateno then i beelined every single tower in the game and then started spilling outward from those or from mountains the second time through i was really rigid with the games suggested paths either in the sense of literal roads or just general environmental directions and cues and i used horses way way more and both experiences were entirely distinct but equally well-supported and meticulous in how they metted out revelation and progress you can do literally whatever you want and not miss out on the core tenets of what the game aims to deliver its masterclass shit i unironically dont know how they did it ive said this but the tidbits we have gotten are nice and uncharacteristic of nintendo but i would love a total blowout on this games development especially technically warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:27 PM yeah the entire circumfrence of every given point on the map so far seems to have a plotted terrain from where you are to where youre going to support that route yea it owns how we were right about this game from the trailers we own, tbh aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:27 PM did you see that anecdote shug posted that ethos seems to define the entire game tbh warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:27 PM yea it was awesome aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:27 PM both on a granular and macro scale theres a really cool slice of behind-the-scenes concerning the anatomy of the games topological approach and another on how they were able to propogate a workable base of material meaningfully instead of arbitrarily despite that being flatly necessary even in a production as ludicrously efforted as this because literal handcrafting for a world this size would take half a century, theyre both really eye-opening and interesting in a wider scale than just botw itself and speak to a return to the kind of informed maverick dichotomy that used to define nintendos output and wider pihlosophy concerning the medium but applied to a genre that sorely needed it and in service to a franchise that needed literally anything, and the way the two compliment and bolster each other speaks very optimistically about the company's output going forward and hopefully the same cascade effect on other developers zelda originally had in the gaps between zelda 1, then oot, and i think both those sources are generalized enough to be safe to share if you havent seen them already you can already see the lessons botw taught born out in mario odyssey lol warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:36 PM man i keep wanting to start mari oand disgaea 5 too aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:37 PM ill vet those but if theyre actually safe ill share em with you Ryan purple✨💖✨ — 12/29/2017 3:37 PM Get a load of disgaea aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:37 PM not right now tho now i actually need to play video game instead of saying ill play it but then typing about it more but anyway they do a great job providing a window into how the consistency of the game was kept across all tiers of scope and the universality of player agency in a game this genuinely open bc it still feels like a magic trick lol warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:43 PM yea im not sure i want the curtain pulled away yet mitch — 12/29/2017 3:43 PM is there a reason to buy disgaea 5 if i already have it on ps4 besides mobility warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:44 PM it has all the dlc included with it thats it mitch — 12/29/2017 3:44 PM meh i can prolly get a dlc bundle for cheaper than it would be to rebuy it warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:44 PM man i wonder LOL nis's dlc is insanely overpriced mitch — 12/29/2017 3:45 PM yeah its an expensive bundle but cheaper than a game on a nintendo system warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:45 PM its like a buck fifty for one character and then theres 50 chars and stages etc aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:45 PM alright ill keep them in the back pocket as retrospective and ill also keep my thoughts on the game that are retrospective in nature out of the running lol warning: ejaculation imminent — 12/29/2017 3:45 PM y7ea but u get it portable aggressive mantis squad — 12/29/2017 3:45 PM see you in 6 months mitch — 12/29/2017 3:45 PM true... typhy — 12/29/2017 3:45 PM See that mountain you can climb it
