So I'm working as an architect at the moment, no admin access outside what I need..not a problem but it does mean I have to deal with ye helldesk... This is just a rant because I'm ready to put my own head through a brick wall Problem is a piece of software won't let me upload data over 3mb. I've got 8mb. Error message is..you don't have permission speak to your account manager to increase limits. Log a call with helldesk Helldesk engineer : I've spoken to apps team.there is no limit Me : send him a screenshot Him : I can see there is a limit but the apps team have said there isn't. I'm closing the call Me: don't close the call because it isn't fixed! Escalate it to the apps team or get them to call me Him : that's the advice they've given. There is no limit. I'm closing the call Me: but you can SEE there's a limit & I can't do my job without them increasing it & if you close the call they won't be able to deal with it Him : I'm service desk & not apps I'm closing the call Me : looking for the vodka at 11am!! I mean jesus! I've worked years as service desk & always thought users were being assholes, but from the other side of the glass.....I'm already looking for another job...just because of this asshole Edit: to the more sarcastic ; this was a rant. I've been sysadmin for over a decade and just haven't had to deal with this level of fuckwittery because this is the first time ever I haven't had god access over an entire environment...
