**Fahmi Fadzil: Strategic Partnership with Perak Digital Agency to Empower Smart City and Benefit People** Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil announced that the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Perak Digital Agency Holdings. This strategic partnership marks the beginning of efforts to empower Perak's smart city initiatives, which will benefit the people of Ipoh. The collaboration aims to enhance communication infrastructure, empower digital education, and provide smart and green community facilities. The MoU was signed at a ceremony in Ipoh, attended by MCMC CEO Datuk Mohamad Ali Hanafiah and Perak Digital Agency CEO Mohamad Suhaimi. Fahmi emphasized that this initiative will improve internet coverage in Perak and support the 2030 Perak Prosperity Plan (Perak Sejahtera 2030), focusing on digital infrastructure and services. The partnership also includes technical consultations on digital infrastructure, network coverage, cybersecurity, and online fraud prevention. Moreover, it will explore e-commerce collaboration and ICT training programs at the National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI) to engage local communities. Fahmi highlighted that this collective effort will help unlock the full potential of smart cities, driving innovation and creating a more connected Malaysia.
