A heroic barbarian comes to Deckard Cain for him to identify a sacred longsword. Deckard Cain sees that he holds a truly powerful item. Cain wants it instead and tries to convince the Barbarian that he should hold on to it. Make the characters have dialogue that is appropriate for their characters while adding a spin on Cain's. Barbarian: "I come to you, Deckard Cain, with this longsword. It is said to be a sacred item with great power. Can you tell me more about it?" Deckard Cain: "Ah, yes, a longsword of great power indeed. But do you not feel the weight of its responsibility, barbarian? Such power can be both a blessing and a curse." Barbarian: "I am well aware of the weight it carries. That is why I seek your knowledge to learn more about it." Deckard Cain: "Of course, of course. But have you considered the dangers of wielding such a weapon? The evil that may be drawn to it, seeking to take it for its own purposes?" Barbarian: "I fear no evil, Cain. I will not let it fall into the wrong hands." Deckard Cain: "But what of your own hands, barbarian? You are strong, yes, but are you wise enough to wield such power? Might it not be better to let someone with more experience take it instead?" Barbarian: "I did not come all this way to have someone else take what is mine. I will not let it go, Cain." Deckard Cain: "Very well, barbarian. I understand your determination. But do not forget, the road ahead is a treacherous one. Be wary of those who seek to take what is rightfully yours." (As the barbarian turns to leave, Deckard Cain whispers to himself) Deckard Cain: "And once he has fallen in battle, the longsword shall be mine. Its power will aid me in my quest to vanquish evil from this world."
