place Kaunas City Municipality, Laisvės al. 96 purpose To protest against the infringement of the rights of Belarusians in Lithuania in connection with the proposal of Lithuanian Seimas deputies to amend the law, the adoption of which would sharply limit the acceptance of applications of Belarusians for temporary residence permits in the country. Two weeks ago, Deputy Chairman of the Seimas Paulius Saudargas, Chairman of the Committee on National Security and Defense Laurynas Kasciunas and member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis registered amendments to the Law on restrictive measures, in which they proposed to suspend the acceptance of applications of Belarusian citizens for temporary residence permits in Lithuania. We believe that this is a direct and unprecedented violation of human rights, universally recognized by the entire civilized world.

Participants will gather in front of Kaunas City Municipality with flags and banners. Slogans and resolutions will be announced (peaceful in nature).                                                                                           
          












Routes of marches, processions, columns:
The gathering will start near the Migration Service Department Office, (E. Ožeškienės g. 6,). Then the column will move northeast towards E. Ožeškienės g. 6,). Ožeškienės. The movement will continue along K. Donelaičio Kaunas towards Laisvės al. 96, towards the Kaunas City Municipality building.

Other information: the Belarusians who fled from the persecution of Lukashenko's dictatorship found refuge in democratic Lithuania. And now, as a matter of fact, the Lithuanian authorities begin to pursue a policy of oppression, no different from Lukashenko's. We fought against this in Belarus and will fight for our rights in Lithuania. Freedom-loving Belarusians want to express their civil position and disagreement with the restrictions that the Lithuanian authorities have imposed on them and plan to impose in the future.
