General Rules It is expected that all of the rules in this list be followed at all times. Use common sense; if you think you're breaking the rules, you most likely are. Respect staff members and their decisions. If a rule isn't specified, staff can make some decisions about what is and isn't allowed. If you believe a member of staff is abusing, please report them on the forums. https://discord.gg/bn5dM6VEXb If the server is full, staff may kick players who are AFK. Additionally, if you are AFK in a sit, staff has the authority to kick you. Instead of complaining about staff decisions in-game or on Discord, file a report/appeal on the forums. It is not permitted to use third-party software to gain an unfair advantage. This includes, but is not limited to, macros, auto clickers, and other similar programmes. A ban will be imposed if you do so. You can put your Twitch/YouTube/etc in your name/title, but you can't tell players to go watch/follow/etc said Twitch/YouTube/etc. It is not permitted to promote or advertise any other communities, services, websites, or etc. Encouraging or baiting others to violate rules will have an equal or greater punishment to the rule violation. Racism or other forms of discrimination (age, ***, race, sexual orientation, or creed) is prohibited. A staff member has final say on all rule interpretations including those not explicitly stated in the rules. In-game currency and items may not be sold or traded for real life items, real life currency or credits. Avoiding punishments by any means is forbidden. Any form of in-game ban can carry over to Discord, TS3 or the Forums for its duration and vice-versa no matter the reason. Account sharing is allowed but not recommended. If you share accounts, your account will be forever flagged as an alt, and it will be permanently banned under ban evasion security if that suspicion arises. Roleplay Rules Random Death Match (RDM) Killing Without RP (Roleplay) Reason Players who try to steal from you, raid you, or counter you may be killed at any time. Raids, hits, countering, and stealing can all be done without warning. Mugging and any other case requires a player to give a warning through Local, Yell, or Whisper chat, and allowing a minimum of 10 seconds to allow the player to comply. Warnings must be clear and made easy to understand who it is targeting, and you must make sure players know the vicinity of the warning. Anyone cannot just kill anyone simply because they see the warning in their chat, ask if you are unsure. You can grant custom "everyone" warnings on your own leisure, bypassing the public aspect to the rule above, but with an obvious risk As for the base raidzone, if you choose to specify targets in your raid zone before warning, others not specified cannot kill you. If you choose not to specify your targets, everyone receiving the warning in your raid zone can kill you. If the player who you have warned has completed the instructions (mug,steal specifically) you may not kill them The warning consequence does not have to be detailed, all valid warnings are automatically a threat excluding 10 second demote warnings. Ex: Leave or die you have 10 seconds! If the player you have warned threatens you during the 10 second period (Ex. Showing hostile intent, Unholstering weapon/knife, Unholstering police baton, escaping etc.) you may complete your warning action Examples of Inducing Actions: Stunsticking, Strangling, Mugging, Pimp Slapping, Kidnapping, Tazing, Wanting (not auto server wants), Damaging and so on. The mayor may not be killed during Mayor Grace for any reason. Mayors Grace is voided by the Mayor executing anything RP related beyond what is done automatically (like default laws) You may not camp the mayor's office during his grace with the purpose of killing him afterwards. Metagaming A rule in which your RP character may not use any information from your previous life (includes arrests) to carry out RP actions such as Raids, Wanting. Warrant, Revenge RDM, and Demoting. for a player to qualify for a demotion you must have visual confirmation of the violation (Screenshot) occurring as well as confirmation of the player tag attached to the model. Corrupt mayors may be demoted solely off tab and laws alone. 10 second sight rule After losing sight of a player for 10 seconds any and all RP situation are now false. (eg. Police chasing a player, Mugging etc.) You are only allowed to hold sight to act on a situation with someone for 2 minutes. Illegal text in chat must stay within your unopened and unscrolled chatbox for "/want" otherwise it is void. Basing and Building Prop - Blocking, Minging, Surfing and Spamming are not allowed. Do not spawn/move props inside in other players’ bases Do not spawn/despawn/move props during raids The only entity that can be spawned from the F4 shop during and within a raid is Ammo and weapon shipments Door Spamming and body blocking the door from opening is not allowed TextScreens Do not Textscreen minge or put racist/hate speech on your textscreen. To build without being raided you must put up a "Building" textscreen onto your base and you must not have any raidables inside or it is considered FailRP You must add a "Roleplay" textscreen to your base to tell any raiding classes you are RPing and do not have any radiable items in your base. The mayor cannot have a roleplay sign Hitmen are able to ignore all signs above and may kill (not raid) people within them. Base entrances as well as the overall inner layout must be absolutely clear and concise. (I.E No blackout bases, Hidden Keypads) Fading bridges, sky-bases, and falling ceiling props are not allowed. Bases cannot force players to crouch, jump, crouch jump or precision walk at any point. The maximum amount of keypadded fading doors per base is 3. Police/Mayor can have a 4th for the jail buttons only, Hotel Manager can have 3, and the Hotel Tenants get 3 for their rooms separately. You may not open Fading doors with a keybind during raids or to avoid any RP situation Unnecessarily large builds made by hobos in the street are subjected to removal by staff. Trap bases cannot be built on any portion of the street and any of the exits of Hobo and Criminal spawn. You may not build in spawn as a hobo or on the street area directly infront Misc. Holding doors without actually basing inside the base is not allowed Holding a base and failing to utilize it in full and reasonable capacity after being warned will result in a staff member force removing the ownership. You may only own 1 building/base per player unless you have a party of 5 or more basing then you may megabase as long as its the next building over. Tolls are not allowed whatsoever Roleplay Relation You are free to protect players, along with their property, that you have an RP relationship with You cannot RP Relate yourself to someone after a hostile action has been initiated in order to defend against said action. RP Relation via custom job name (default name not included) must be completed both ways to be valid. Government are restricted to RP relations with other government personnel. Hire-able jobs are restricted to RP relation with those that hire them and anyone related to the person who hired. Ways to be RP related: Job/Class – This takes precedence over all other RP relations. You must also follow all class rules before considering RP relations. Owning the same base – You may only protect those within the vicinity of your base. This also applies to the Hotel and all tenants within, every tenant shares ownership of the Hotel along with the Manager. Hired/Working Together – You must be either hired through F4, or have your job name set as: /job "w/ person OR group name here alone*" Customer Relationship – Whilst performing your transaction you have RP relation with your customer Raiding and Mugging You and those RP related with you must wait 10 minutes before performing these actions on the same person and/or base and this timer begins once the raid has concluded. Police Officers re-raiding bases for illegal infractions who did not die in the zone or players raiding out of jail by means of escaping ignore this and the time raids can last. Lastly, destroying entities is not considered raiding. Mugging Rules Maximum mug amount is $5,000 Must allow a 10 second window to drop money Any signs of hostile intent from the victim (shooting, taking out, or switching to weaponry) is KOS Your target must be able to have reasonable line of sight of you for the entire duration of the mug meaning uncontested by props or map walls. You may not mug groups of people. Ex: Drop 5k or die. You have 10 seconds. Raiding What cannot be raided? Bases with a building sign or roleplay sign cannot be raided. Make sure to check every entrance, sides, and exits of a base to check for signs prior to raiding. You may not raid an obvious Roleplay base. Features Raids may only last for a total of 10 minutes. Once this time is up and/or you’ve completed your raid, you must leave immediately. "Raid Zone" The Raid zone refers to the area past the doors inside of an owned building while raiding. Everyone is KOS in the raid zone and stay KOS even after they leave the zone. Loss sight applied. Police jobs have additional raid zone guidelines below. Leaving the raid zone as an active raider ends your raid participation with the exception of leaving to kill those related to the base who are armed or those related previously in the zone. Other exceptions include transporting printers, drugs. Defenders and Police have no restrictions on zone re-entry or departure. Base related players do not have to be armed when you are executing them to initiate a raid Dying in a raidzone and re-entering it is disallowed until the 10min cooldown is lifted for all criminal raiding classes Police Checkpoints are raidable. External Support Raiding classes outside the zone and Non-raiding classes regardless of the zone cannot contribute to the success/failure of a raid by any form of direct/impactful action (strangle, pimp slapping, tasing, extensive bodyblocking, reviving, etc.), supplying, and/or support fire. Defenders (players related to the base) have no restrictions on external support. Kidnapping Reserved for kidnapping classes: Advertising (PM, Voice, Ad, Yell, and Chat) the sale of hostages a.k.a ransom Trapping of players in a base and/or construction Forcing anyone to pay a toll to exit an obstruction KOS Guidelines As a hostage, you may KOS the kidnapper, the person owning the props holding you, and anyone related until you successfully escape the facility/building/prop construction If your hostage attempts to vividly escape at all while unbinded, you may KOS them. If you witness someone attempt to free your hostage they are KOS. Class Rules Demotions /demote is a DarkRP command which allows you to demote a player from an RP job. It is only allowed to be used if certain criteria are met: Police and Mayor Demotion criteria: Going against the mayor's custom laws and false wanting Taking money to look the other way on criminal activity Refusing to enforce the laws (including the Mayor when out of grace) Intentionally allowing freedom to prisoners from their cells along with access to their load out (successful escape) Favoritism Laws - Letting certain players print/deal drugs in the laws Ignoring Illegal entities - (Printers/Meth Labs and toxic gas/ and Weed) Insubordination (Disobeying lawful orders given by leadership jobs which go beyond just the Police job. There are a few exceptions where leaderships job are not required.) (Police must always obey the chief and mayor) Exceptions to leadership roles: Regular cops may arrest bodyblocking cops(including chief) if they give them a 10 second warning Regular cops may utilize methods to reveal disguised Cops in PD only Classes disguised as leadership jobs may not instruct subordinates or demote insubordinates for incompliance Lawful (not Laws) orders cannot force someone to do corrupt acts, must be reasonable, and cannot be overly restrictive to roleplay/gameplay elements Other Demotions Any other demotion that isn't CP or Mayor will be based upon the vending job category. Refusing to sell to players can result in demotion Going afk on jobs such as Drug Dealer, Hobo King, Gun Dealer, Black Market Dealer, and Cook can result in demotion Police General Rules Police may only Warrant/Want a player if they have SEEN raidables inside of a base/outside a base. They may not want for advertising to sell printers or to sell guns When chasing a wanted player the Police must try to arrest first before unholestering any weapons. (Suspect running + unholstering a weapon can be KOS) The owners of any illegal (microwave, lab, printers, or weed pot) must be wanted/warranted while the entity exists in the server (Only if SEEN) Third person must NEVER be used for camera glitching to see radiables inside a base Police must arrest instead of killing after giving a valid 10 second warning Police may be asked to leave the inside of a base and/or stop impeding a door/exit legally with a customized demotion warning. Police may attempt to reveal disguised Cops only past the PD 2nd/back door. The Chief and Mayor may do it anywhere. Police must grant individuals clear warnings in chat during lockdowns. must give at least 1 minute for citizens to return to homes. Police may arrest people (any part of their body) past the PD lobby, blocking the second lobby/back of PD door, and/or KOS them if they are armed past PD 2nd door Police may AOS/KOS anyone who is threatening them during a police raid and any other instance requires a 10 second warning. Police may KOS if they are threatened or harmed in any way with a firearm (this does not apply to players just walking around with a gun minding his own business unless its a custom law made by the mayor) Police may AOS anyone carrying a hostage, printers, drugs, and any and all raiders Police may AOS/KOS zombies in the sewers for any reason. You may not abuse/randomly use your Police baton on a player for any reason. this is considered FailRP Police may break raid NLR when the PD is being raided. Police do not need to give a 10 second warning to arrest a player for any illegal activity. Raids / Warrants Police must not raid with Raiding classes and must always try to arrest any player they witness raiding. If a player(or group of players) and a cop(or squad of officers) raid the same base it is always a 1v1v1 or group v group v group battle Do not grief players props (destroying of props you know will bring you 0 value) Do not ram extra entrances that are blocked off inside of a players base. You must enter through the door/prop that has the keypad linked to the fading door. Police may not return to player raid zones they died in until the raid is over and excluding PD. Police must NEVER plant evidence Police (and Citizens) may only build checkpoints if authorized by the Mayor command, not law. The checkpoint must include at least one free pathway through unaccompanied by a toll. Police may not force players through a checkpoint immediately out of spawn Do NOT FALSE WARRANT a base you suspect has raidables but you cannot fully prove it. This is a very important rule because raiding is very powerful for police. Scamming Do not scam as any class. "Vendoring" includes all trade and transactions done via the non-global (PM), (YELL), and (CHAT)s. Common scenario(s) where staff will NOT interfere if you lack 100% solid proof: If you are scammed after free hand gambling with other players on the server without utilizing the gambling machines If you are scammed via transactions done in (VOICE) Exceptional scenario(s) where staff will not interfere at all regardless of your proof: If you purchase printers from a seller and that seller immediately raids you and takes back/destroys said printers If you are scammed via transactions found in global chats like (ADVERT, OOC, GLOBAL CHAT, ETC.) If you fail to receive the return back on your loan to another player Staff are still obligated to convene if they can find the proof to convict such as a confession, video proof, or chat logs.
